Day 1 - Friday, June 10 - Departure
We are excited to start our cruise up the lower Danube with two days in Transylvania. We disappointed that due to "security concerns", we won't be able to travel down to the Danube Delta which borders Ukraine. Ginny Barthel has arranged for a limo to take us to the Newark airport and pick us back up on our return, greatly easing this annoying part of the trip. Our travel companions are: Ginny Barthel - travel agent and group leader Jack Cathy Adriana Terri Don Linda We are leaving Woodstock at 11:30am and our flight is scheduled to leave at 5:45. We arrive in Munich on Saturday morning and then get a flight to Bucharest. Carmen and I are splurging on the United Polaris Class with the "lie-flat" seats - this year is our 40th wedding anniversary and we are making the most of it with subsequent trips this year to Scandinavia and Tuscany. Well this trip turned out to be a bust - two days before departure we both came down with Covid and had to cancel the trip.
